12 Apr 2021, 20:13 GMT+10

The Bulls on Monday announced the signing of utility back James Verity-Amm from Griquas.

Verity-Amm, 26, attended Hottentots Holland High School in the Western Cape where he represented Western Province at junior level and UWC in the Varsity Shield.

In 2016, he made the trip to Australia where he linked up with the Future Force Academy in Perth. He made his Super Rugby debut for the Western Force against the Lions in 2017.

He also had a short stint at the Brumbies before returning to South Africa where he shined for Griquas during the 2020 Super Rugby Unlocked and Currie Cup campaigns.

"James is a talented player who is rock solid on both attack and defence. His acquisition will only strengthen our backs and we are looking forward to adding a player of his ability to our roster," said Bulls director of rugby Jake White said in a statement.

Verity-Amm, who can play wing and fullback, will join his new team with immediate effect.
